About the Artist:
BFA at University of Michigan, standard k-12 Artendorsement; MS -Ed. - SOU, standard k-9 Elementary endorsement; WOU - basic handicapped learner endorsement. Former stage and night club performer as a solo act and with female partner performing tap, jazz, acrobatic, adagio and cabaret dancing. Trained as an Arthur Murray ballroom dance instructor. Has taught Art, elementary and handicapped learners. "I have wanted to dance from the time I was five years old and have continued to enjoy dancing all of my life. It is one of my passions."
Residency Description:
Student will learn to the best of their ability, various American ballroom dances and the socialization that is a part of this form of dancing. There is a concentration on developing physical agility, form, rhythm, and both mental and kinesthetic memory.
Staff and Community Offerings:
Jack currently teaches the La Grande High School Dance Club and the La Grande Community Dance Ballroom dancing classes.
Facilities and Supplies:
Large, flat, resilient floor area where people can move and dance. Secure storage for sound equipment CD's. Convenient electrical outlets.
