Dan Ostermann
For the Love of Music
(Brookings)
Grades K-12, Special Populations
About the Artist: Dan spent two six-month residencies in rural Oregon and enjoys working with every age group, kindergarten through senior. When he is not an artist-in-residence, he teaches and performs in Los Angeles, where he experiences a vast diversity of musical styles; he later incorporates these into his teaching. Dan believes that when people of all ages experience music, wider doors of inspiration, happiness, and possibility open, creating a broader education and a more balanced life. The joy of music is truly one of the most powerful and enlightening experiences.
